Tracked excavator operator • Hamlin County, South Dakota

Vacancy available: we are hiring a tracked excavator operator in Hamlin County, South Dakota. You will be based on a busy civils and groundworks site. On a typical shift you will inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up; carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels; keep the cab clean and oil-free and report defects promptly; lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains; backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers; grade, level and batter slopes to the required gradient. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control • Confident working to fine grade and tight tolerances • Proven experience on 360 tracked excavators (8t–30t) At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
