Immediate opening: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Wilson County, Kansas. What we are looking for: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection The role involves carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges. Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. $19 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time with occasional weekends.
