On a typical shift you will prime and seal bare metal to stop rust; wet-sand and buff out runs, orange peel and dust nibs; bake panels in the spray booth oven to cure the paint; mix two-pack (2K) clear coat with hardener in the correct ratio; apply etch primer to aluminium and galvanised panels; check the colour match under booth lights against the maker's swatch. Ideal candidate: • Confident with wet-sanding and machine polishing • Physically fit to stand, bend and crouch for long periods • Able to mix paint by weight on a scale 6+ years on the tools preferred.
