Now hiring: tig welder (Wales)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a tig welder in Torfaen County Borough, Wales. You will work on an industrial construction site. You should have: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings Day-to-day duties: • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. We offer £85 per day plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
