Backhoe loader operator • Derry City and Strabane, Northern Ireland

Great opportunity: we are hiring a backhoe loader operator in Derry City and Strabane, Northern Ireland. On a typical shift you will load and unload the machine on and off the low-loader safely; level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines; work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals; break rock and concrete with the hydraulic breaker attachment; excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels; grease the pins, bushings and slew ring at the start of each shift. Ideal candidate: • Understanding of safe digging near underground services • Minimum 2-3 years' experience operating earthmoving machinery 6+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours. Pay around £11 per hour, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
