Immediate opening: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Perquimans County, North Carolina. The job is at a busy garment factory. The role involves stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish. Requirements: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown We offer $3,600 per month plus benefits.
