Immediate opening: steel fixing chargehand (North Carolina)

Join our team: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Chowan County, North Carolina. The role involves: • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine Ideal candidate: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing 6+ years on the tools preferred.
