Rigger • McDowell County, North Carolina

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a rigger in McDowell County, North Carolina. You will be based at a power plant. Ideal candidate: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles The role involves: • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists Pay around $18 per hour, based on your experience.
