Crane rigger — Kalawao County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a crane rigger in Kalawao County, Hawaii. What we are looking for: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Your main tasks: • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit 2+ years on the tools preferred. $5,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
