Immediate opening: we are hiring a furniture maker in Portsmouth, England. The job is at a shopfitting company. What we are looking for: • Confident with hand and power tools such as saws, routers and planers • At least 2 years' hands-on carpentry experience Day-to-day duties: • Check work for level, plumb and square with a spirit level • Finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain • Glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together • Hang internal and external doors, fitting hinges, locks and handles • Cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw We offer £2,900 per month plus benefits.
