Sewing machine operator — Stoke-on-Trent

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Stoke-on-Trent, England. The job is in a sampling and tailoring workshop. What we are looking for: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching On the job you will handle: • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality Six days a week, one day off.
