Immediate opening: site labourer (Virginia)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a site labourer in Brunswick County, Virginia. The role involves: • Set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction • Break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker • Cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days • Load and unload trucks of cement, steel bar and aggregate • Erect and dismantle scaffolding and pass materials up • Mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer You should have: • Able to follow the mason's and supervisor's instructions • Wear safety helmet, boots and gloves at all times • Able to lift and carry heavy loads such as 50 kg cement bags all day Overtime paid at a premium rate.
