You will set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose.
