Fettler wanted in Napa County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a fettler in Napa County, California. You will work at an aluminium die-casting plant. On a typical shift you will cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Overtime paid at a premium rate.
