Immediate opening: machinist (North Carolina)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a machinist in Vance County, North Carolina. You will work in a textile and apparel unit. Ideal candidate: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens Day-to-day duties: • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
