Now hiring: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Lee County, Virginia. You will be based at a brass and bronze foundry. Ideal candidate: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection On a typical shift you will mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces.
