Road roller operator • Torrance County, New Mexico

We are recruiting: we are hiring a road roller operator in Torrance County, New Mexico. You will work at a landfill site. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination Your main tasks: • Keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines • Excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels • Work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals • Grease the pins, bushings and slew ring at the start of each shift • Top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects • Level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines Full-time with occasional weekends.
