Fettler — Fayette County

Join our team: we are hiring a fettler in Fayette County, Kentucky. You will be based at an aluminium die-casting plant. The role involves: • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand Ideal candidate: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Basic grinding and fettling skills Overtime paid at a premium rate.
