GTAW welder — McKenzie County

Join our team: we are hiring a GTAW welder in McKenzie County, North Dakota. You will be based on a structural steel site. What we are looking for: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols The role involves: • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut Full-time with occasional weekends.
