We are recruiting: we are hiring a retail butcher in Acadia Parish, Louisiana. The job is in a supermarket meat department. The role involves: • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts Requirements: • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
