Requirements: • Own set of hand tools • ITI / NVQ Level 3 qualification in motor vehicle maintenance Day-to-day duties: • Diagnose engine faults using an OBD-II scan tool • Road-test vehicles to confirm the repair • Estimate repair costs and order the right parts • Carry out oil and filter changes • Read fault codes and clear them after the repair Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
