Immediate opening: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Clinton County, Iowa. The job is on a commercial construction site. On a typical shift you will setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
