Vacancy available: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Hardin County, Ohio. The job is at an automotive body and exhaust shop. You should have: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard Day-to-day duties: • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size Rotating shifts.
