You should have: • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work Your main tasks: • Carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes • Rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables • Top up the oil and bleed the cylinder on hydraulic lifts • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
