Join our team: we are hiring a banksman in Hudson County, New Jersey. The job is at a busy construction site. You will attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket Full-time, day shift.
