Aluminium tig welder — Westmoreland County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. The job is in a pharmaceutical piping facility. Day-to-day duties: • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) Requirements: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
