Join our team: we are hiring a toolroom milling operator in North Northamptonshire, England. Day to day you will deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery; hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm; keep in-process inspection records and log production counts; mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square; run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production; set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines. You should have: • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron • Willing to work rotating shifts and night shift • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
