Day-to-day duties: • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently $4,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
