Now hiring: we are hiring a head butcher in North Lanarkshire, Scotland. On the job you will handle: • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Season and marinate meat on request • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights Ideal candidate: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required £15 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
