Canteen cook wanted in City of Lynchburg

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a canteen cook in City of Lynchburg, Virginia. You will be based at a busy restaurant kitchen. The role involves: • Prepare stocks, sauces and soups from scratch • Label and date all prepped ingredients in the walk-in • Keep the station clean and sanitised throughout the shift • Plate and garnish dishes for a quick pass to service • Chop, dice and portion vegetables, fish and meat • Monitor food temperatures and run regular HACCP checks Ideal candidate: • Able to lift heavy stock pots and sacks of supplies • 2+ years' experience as a cook in a busy kitchen • Able to read and follow recipes and dockets 6+ years on the tools preferred.
