Aluminium TIG welder • Cumberland County, Maine

Vacancy available: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Cumberland County, Maine. You will be based on a structural steel site. What we are looking for: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols Day to day you will run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Pay around $3,200 per month, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
