Vacancy available: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Jefferson County, Alabama. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight The role involves: • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required $2,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
