Now hiring: we are hiring a moulder in Jones County, South Dakota. The job is in the fettling and dressing shop. The role involves tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring. You should have: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal 4+ years on the tools preferred.
