You should have: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire On the job you will handle: • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules Rotating shifts.
