Great opportunity: we are hiring a road roller operator in Rock Island County, Illinois. You will be based at a plant hire yard. Ideal candidate: • Understanding of safe digging near underground services • Able to operate excavator, loader and dozer confidently • Able to read levels, pegs and basic site drawings Day to day you will level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines; excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels; load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket; break rock and concrete with the hydraulic breaker attachment.
