Stitching operator — Western Connecticut Planning Region

Great opportunity: we are hiring a stitching operator in Western Connecticut Planning Region, Connecticut. You will work on an export house sewing floor. On the job you will handle: • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension Ideal candidate: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines Full-time with occasional weekends.
