Great opportunity: we are hiring a production welder in Houston County, Minnesota. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. What we are looking for: • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test The role involves: • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
