Vacancy available: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. The job is at a rebar fabrication workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench You should have: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing $16 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
