Gas commissioning technician • Derry City and Strabane, Northern Ireland

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gas commissioning technician in Derry City and Strabane, Northern Ireland. You will be based in a gas distribution network. Day to day you will locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections; thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant; purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate; install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation; fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances; check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray. What we are looking for: • 2+ years' experience on domestic and commercial gas installations • Physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders • Able to read isometric and site drawings Rotating shifts.
