Great opportunity: we are hiring a GMAW welder in Taliaferro County, Georgia. You will work at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. On the job you will handle: • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence Ideal candidate: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Willing to work shifts and overtime 4+ years on the tools preferred.
