Immediate opening: we are hiring a line cook in Rensselaer County, New York. You will be based in a catering banquet kitchen. Requirements: • Able to lift heavy stock pots and sacks of supplies • Familiar with North Indian, tandoor and continental cooking On the job you will handle: • Marinate meats and prepare curries, gravies and bases • Manage the tandoor and skewer kebabs • Plate and garnish dishes for a quick pass to service • Chop, dice and portion vegetables, fish and meat • Follow cleaning schedules and wash down work surfaces • Prepare the mise en place before each service Part-time with flexible hours.
