Vacancy available: we are hiring a machinist in Santa Barbara County, California. You will work at a knitwear stitching unit. The role involves attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line. You should have: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. $3,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
