Foundry labourer • Noble County, Indiana

Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Noble County, Indiana. You will work in a non-ferrous casting shop. What we are looking for: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Day-to-day duties: • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle We offer $3,300 per month plus benefits.
