JCB operator • City of Charlottesville, Virginia

We are recruiting: we are hiring a JCB operator in City of Charlottesville, Virginia. You will work on a busy civils and groundworks site. Ideal candidate: • Sound understanding of daily maintenance and greasing • Own PPE — safety boots, hi-vis and hard hat • Able to read drawings, setting-out pegs and level pegs On a typical shift you will strip and stockpile topsoil ready for reuse; lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains; excavate trenches for water, sewer and cable runs; inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up.
