Landscape gardener — McIntosh County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a landscape gardener in McIntosh County, Georgia. The job is in a botanical garden. On a typical shift you will repot nursery stock and pot on cuttings; apply fertiliser, compost and mulch to beds; plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings; sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades; rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste; check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads. Requirements: • Able to safely operate mowers, strimmers and hedge trimmers • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules Six days a week, one day off.
