Urgent requirement: we are hiring an uPVC window fabricator in Ida County, Iowa. The job is at a busy uPVC fabrication workshop. Requirements: • Able to work to deadlines in a busy workshop • Able to read cutting lists and fabrication drawings • Knowledge of common hardware systems such as espagnolette and friction hinges You will cut uPVC profiles to size on a double-mitre saw at 45 degrees; fuse-weld frame and sash corners on the welding machine and check the weld seam; drill drainage and pressure-equalisation slots in the outer frame; install finished windows and doors, pack and anchor-fix them, then foam and silicone the perimeter; rout lock and hardware pockets with the copy router; clean welded corners on a corner-cleaning machine and chisel off the weld flash. 2+ years on the tools preferred.
