Fettler — Cheshire West and Chester

Immediate opening: we are hiring a fettler in Cheshire West and Chester, England. Your main tasks: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand You should have: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Basic grinding and fettling skills Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
