Now hiring: we are hiring a gatehouse guard in Dundee City, Scotland. Day to day you will detain shoplifters or trespassers and hand them over to police; monitor the CCTV screens in the control room; operate the metal detector and hand-held scanner at the door; raise the alarm and follow the evacuation drill in an emergency; log every visitor and vehicle in the duty register; operate the boom barrier and check vehicles in and out. Requirements: • Trained in basic fire-fighting and first aid • Ex-servicemen preferred 4+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
