Lift technician — Grand Isle County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a lift technician in Grand Isle County, Vermont. The job is in a machine room on the rooftop. The role involves adjust door operator timing and re-levelling accuracy; service the traction motor, brake and gearbox; set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear; fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork; replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays; top up the oil and bleed the cylinder on hydraulic lifts. Ideal candidate: • Sound electrical competence in three-phase and low-voltage wiring • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. $28 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
