We are recruiting: industrial sewing operator (Wales)

Vacancy available: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in Pembrokeshire, Wales. You will be based in a textile and apparel unit. Day to day you will topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required. Ideal candidate: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently Full-time, day shift. £17 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
